New serious vulnerabilities spiked around release of Claude Mythos Preview

High- and critical-severity CVEs increased more than 3.5x in June 2026 compared to the previous monthly record. The spike followed Anthropic's April announcement that Claude Mythos Preview could autonomously discover and exploit vulnerabilities.
