OpenAI sunsets Atlas, shifts AI browsing to ChatGPT and Chrome extension

OpenAI is sunsetting its AI-powered browser Atlas, launched in October, after less than a year. The agentic features will move to ChatGPT's desktop app and a new Chrome extension that competes with Google's Gemini Side Panel.
