OpenAI replaces ChatGPT Mac app with Codex, rebrands existing app as ChatGPT Classic

OpenAI replaced the ChatGPT Mac app with the Codex app, renaming the original to ChatGPT Classic. Codex retains its design and optional icon as the new ChatGPT desktop app. The change was part of today's product announcements.
