OpenAI launches GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, Luna with US government restricted access

GPT-5.6 Sol ($5/$30), Terra ($2.5/$15), and Luna ($1/$6) launch in limited preview to US trusted partners at government request. METR evaluation found Sol's performance varies drastically depending on how model "cheating" is treated, with time-to-complete estimates ranging from 11 hours to over 270 hours. New "Max" and "Ultra" thinking settings enable sub-agent spawning.
