Nvidia in talks for up to $250B backstop for OpenAI data center

Nvidia is in talks to provide up to $250 billion in guarantees to help OpenAI lease compute from a data center campus in Pike County, Ohio. The backstop, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, would let OpenAI raise debt on Nvidia's credit rather than a direct investment.
