BioflexBot robot hand aims to replicate key human hand motions

Researchers built the BioflexBot, a pneumatic hand that pinches, rotates, hooks, and grasps using a coiled spring and constraining shell with just two inputs. It handled acupuncture needles and pipettes, and rotated a bottle cap nearly four times more than a human hand.
