Anthropic fights Trump administration over Claude Mythos 5 export controls

Anthropic received a US export control directive to suspend access to its Mythos 5 and Fable 5 models by any foreign national, including its own foreign employees. The company disabled products and traveled to Washington, DC to negotiate. The directive followed reports that guardrails on the model may have failed.
