Anthropic introduces usage-based fees for Claude Fable 5

Starting July 12, Anthropic will charge Claude subscribers usage-based fees for Fable 5: $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. This is the first time a frontier lab has gated a consumer model behind metered billing, while competitors like OpenAI and Grok still offer flat-rate tiers.
