Terence Tao urges AI labs to stop racing on math benchmarks

A viral graphic cited on r/ClaudeAI puts Anthropic's valuation at $2 trillion against $948 billion for 35 SaaS companies combined, with Anthropic quarterly revenue listed at $11.5 billion versus $53.4 billion for the group. The poster calls the comparison "absolutely insane."

Subject to stockholder approval, 5% of Anthropic's shares go into the fund, with an extra 2% added at the board's discretion for every 50% increase in company value above a baseline. The fund is a wholly-owned LLC barred from lobbying or political giving.
