Microsoft AI introduced seven new models: MAI-Thinking-1 (reasoning, matches leading models), MAI-Code-1-Flash (agentic coding, 5B active parameters, integrated into Copilot), and MAI-Image-2.5 (text-to-image, surpassing Nano Banana Pro). The models are trained from scratch without distillation.
